ST. MARGARET MARY RCIA
QUICK LINKS & INTRO
RCIA, the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the formation process by which adults are welcomed into full communion with the Catholic Church. Doctrines of the faith are taught which lead adults to the Sacraments of Initiation. Adults wishing to become members of our faith as well as people who are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith are welcome to participate. We are always in need of Catholics who are willing to share their faith with others to help out on the RCIA Team as well as to be sponsors for those coming into the Catholic Church.

DETAILS FOR INQUIRERS
- All are welcome to join St. Margaret Mary's RCIA Program, even if it is only for one evening. If you are a parishioner at St. Margaret Mary, it's a great way for you to meet those who will be joining our parish.
- We run a "school-year" model, meaning that we start when Leander School District (LISD) starts in August, we follow the LISD calendar for days off, and we bring people into the Catholic Church on Easter weekend. We then continue to meet for a few more weeks to wrap up our formation and transition those new converts into an active role in the community.
- We generally meet on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 with Sunday Scripture Sharing and several Saturday retreats.
- At different times of the year, we may have to work with you on how best to begin:
- From Summer to October, we are able to immediately enroll you into our RCIA program.
- From October to December, we can enroll you, but we'll need to work with you to make up some of the sessions that have already occurred.
- From January through Easter, we can sometimes be more creative, but generally we invite you to attend the 2nd half of our formation with the understanding that you won't come into the Church that Easter.
- After Easter through Summer, we will meet with you one-on-one and answer questions and get you enrolled into the formation when sessions start up in August.
- If you want or need to come into the Catholic Church and the above schedule does not meet your needs, call the church office to inquire about what can be done. You can also check out some of the other nearby RCIA programs, at least one of which runs a year-round model so that you can start at any time.
